Dr. M.C. Tolbert

Dr. Millard Clifton Tolbert, 73, of Rising Fawn, GA went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at his home. Dr. Tolbert was born on January 11, 1951 in Saltville, Virginia to the late William Franklin Tolbert and Cora Stewart Tolbert. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. M.C. loved to play music and sing, including playing the guitar and banjo. He spent 50 years serving the Lord in Ministry where he Pastored Faith Community Wesleyan Church for many years and was a Board Member with the Wesleyan Church. He also pastored several churches in Virginia and Tennessee. Dr. Tolbert enjoyed serving his community and donating to charities, helping anyone in need. He was the author of three books and loved to read and study.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Anna Tolbert; siblings, Laney Tolbert, Zella Thompson, Vernie Frye, Daniel Tolbert, Dorothy Hall and Alvin Tolbert.

Survivors include his daughter, April Denise Tolbert; brother-in-law/"Son", David Wayne Neal; brother, Albert Tolbert; sister, Peggy Hogston; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 10-12 Noon Wednesday at Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
